No, it is a catastrophic approximation because linear system cannot

It is a relationship of laws. A law is fundamental to another when it is or
thought to be derived from the former.

Then you should start with astrology. To me the goal of education is giving
a scientific view on the world.

Take Newtonian mechanics and use it to describe the computer hardware as a

Do you order the models according to:
1. the time when they first appeared (e.g. the light-bearing aether theory)
2. their adequateness (e.g. Ptolemy's system vs. Copernican)
3. their place in the physical model of the world (fundamentals)

It does, because building construction is secondary according to the
classification 3. A civil engineer must know physics (en large), before
diving into the resistance of materials.
