hmm, is there an Ada package to do error-bounds-propagated arithmetic?
(I recall writing a FORTRAN package for this in a high school
Chemistry class, for doing lab report calculations, a couple of
million years ago :-) It was an implementation of the simple
intro-to-chemistry rules for error bounds (I don't recall if it
handled significant figures.) Then you end up with the error-bounds
upon error-bounds issue ("25 +/- 3.013597%" :-) Needless to say this
doesn't handle the whole issue, it was definitely an amateur shot at
the problem - but given that it's a "real world" problem, I'd be
curious to see a real world solution...)
