I'm pretty sure I want this, how expensive is it going to be?



Should the list work under JGNAT? (or OA or .. other JVM-tageted
compiler). The BCs don't, because of nasty tricks to do with avoiding
aliasing and converting an "in" by-reference parameter to a variable.
