This is probably a pretty FAQ, but I can't seem to find a compiler for
win98. I've looked at Gnat and I can't find at least a pre-compiled binary
to use. I have RH Linux and Cygwin (Which I don't like much). Is the a DOS
compiler for Ada out there that any one knows about? If I have to I'll use
something for Cygwin.

The so-called NT (gnat-3.14p-nt.exe) distribution works for me.

Where do you find this Gnat 3.14? I have searched www.gnu.org
www.sourceforge.net www.adapower.com www.gnot.com all these sites and I come
up with nothing. Source forge has the source, but I don't want to compile
from source with linux. I'm looking for a pre-compiled binary for win98.
Gnat 3.14 works for win98 ?

If all else fails, try google with the name of the archive:

http://de.gnuada.org/gnat/3.14p/winnt/
http://www-ftp.lip6.fr/pub/gnat/3.14p/winnt/
http://freeunix.dyndns.org:8088/ftp_site/pub/win32/Gnat/

:-)

gnat 3.14 -- it may be labeled as being for NT but works fine... You
might also want to track down AdaGIDE as a separate tool -- adds an IDE
for gnat under Windows.

http://libre.act-europe.fr/

Look at the left side where it says GNAT (Ada 95 compiler)

I saw no mention of "EZ2LOAD" in all this discussion.
Is that item no longer up-to-date ?

Besides the GNAT that has been talked about previously, ObjectAda and
Janus/Ada for Windows both work on Windows 98. There also is a Janus/Ada
for MS-DOS (but you generally would prefer the Windows version). The
only Windows Ada compiler that I know of that does *not* work on Windows
98 is Rational Apex.
