The following meeting notice might be of interest to people in the Houston,
Texas area.

Space Center Object-Oriented Projects and Engineering
               (SCOPE) - Meeting Announcement
                      January 18, 1995
             "Blackboard Booch/OMT" by David Weller

On October 3rd, Jim Rumbaugh joined Rational to partner up
with Grady Booch. While many eagerly await the merged
notation, Rational has indicated it will be at least a year
before anything is presented. Why wait? Open your present
early! Come join David Weller as he discusses "Blackboard
Booch/OMT", a simplified notation that merges the features of
Booch's notation with OMT. This presentation is unique in that
it focuses on ergonomic issues associated with creating OO
diagrams (ever tried drawing a decent cloud on a blackboard
without embarassing yourself?). The presentation will be
complete with examples taken from Booch's "Object Oriented
Analysis and Design, Second Edition" and Rumbaugh et al.'s
"OMT" book.

Come join the discussion! At the end of the presentation will
be an "open session" where developers are invited to share
their joys and frustrations with either technique. Remember,
we're all in this together!
