I guess your AWS application does the socket handling on its own?
Then you surely cannot use some kind of "CGI-enabled webspace",
as you usually can't bind to your application-specific ports (i.e. 80
which will probably already be in use by the hoster's apache)

You should look for something like a root-server or at least some kind
of user-mode-linux. Anything will suffice if it offers you the ability
to create own processes with own port bindings.
