There could also be:

DTD --> perl script --> package spec/body

which derives from some nominal XML_Record type.

This could also be done with databases:

SQL --> perl script --> package spec/body

which derives from some nominal SQL_Record type.

Which could both dervie from some Storable_Record type which has
something like Read, Write, Get and Set procedures.
