I don't believe we've put any cookie baking code there. 

The site works well without Java or JavaScript--we've tested it both on
Opera and on sites where they are disabled. Instead of using the
drop-down menus you use the HTML links on the left side. It only works
on the home page for old browsers (pre-Java) right now; we'll have to
direct them to another directory with a whole 'nother site. We're still
tweaking the live site with keywords, etc. But that's our next project.

Remember, however, that it is not just an issue of old browsers,
it is also security-conscious individuals who disable JavaScript
and Java due to the history of those capabilities opening security
loopholes on the machine running the browser.

Note that there also exists excellent browsers out there that is not
pre-Java, but doesn't have Java or Javascript. One is the w3m browser
which is text only. But thanks as the site seem to work very nice with
this browser too.
