Hello.

Can anybody direct me to information about exactly what steps are
performed when I compile a sourcefile in GNAT. Is the code translated
to C before further compilation, or what the the inteface to
the'backend' of the gnu compiler?

/CF

Look in the GNAT distribution. There should be a file gnatdoc1.tex --
run it through LaTeX (if you don't have LaTeX, maybe someone can mail
you a copy of the file in an alternate format). It contains a good
overview of the GNAT internals.
