I just found an interesting consequence of my news reader (Microsoft
Outlook) doing line wrapping. If you look at the message below, it has a dot
(".") by itself on the fourth line. My hazy recollection of Internet e-mail
standards is that this originally signalled the end of the message. Has
anyone other than Mr. Beard seen one of these messages truncated at this
point?
