Usually specifications is all you need.

Tricky stuff must be explained of course, especially things which 
specifications do not cover: exception contracts, behavior under 
tasking, numeric complexity etc.

Frameworks is a different kind of thing, they always require getting 
started, examples etc, regardless the language.
