Message-ID: <pan.2003.10.03.23.36.34.419168.2911@nospam.net> (raw)

In my efforts to integrate Cryptlib with Glade(which seems to be going
well so far) I've noticed that the only IPC in the Glade PCS is through
network sockets(Stream and Datagram).

I'd like to use Message_Queues, Unix/Local Sockets, and Shared_Memory in
the PCS for "localhost" systems that support it. Of course, I could
implement this myself, but I'm posting this message up wondering if
anyone else has implemented these features for the PCS. Implementing it
would be trivial with the GNAT toolchain, but it might run into problems
with other compilers.

These features do exist to some extent in the GNAT specific OS libs.

Of course, these are "Posix" features, so Windows users might have to
install some extra software to get 'em working. But oh well. ;->

Of course, I could be missing something in the Garlic source code. I'm
gonna be spending some more time looking over the Glade source. In the
meantime, any pointers?
