Hehe. For the the non-physicists, most radars radiate the same energy
that microwave ovens do. I once walked in front of a great big dish
on an RAF (Royal Air Force) base, and the sergeant accompanying me
chuckled and mentioned that if someone switched it on, we would be
fried. I didn't believe him at the time, but had it confirmed by an
engineer later (the dish wasn't actually connected up, however).

Of course, this is what the current fuss about mobile phones is based
on.
