Do you know if there will be any GNAT 4.8 On Ubuntu 12.04 (LTS) in any
future? Seems to stay with GCC 4.6 so far, not even GCC 4.7. I know I can
install a GCC 4.8 snapshot (what I did, and it works fine), but it's not
OK as a build dependency of a source package I guess, and I'm planning to
have a test publishing a tiny simple application, the core in Ada 2012 and
the UI in Vala. The publication process requires a source package, and I
don't want to use GNAT specific features with a GNAT 4.6 which does not
properly handles Ada 2012 (ex. Static_Predicate is not recognized, nor
some part of the Ada 2012 iteration features).
Note I'm not begging for anything, just seeking for what I can expect and
can't expect in the future. If I can't expect a GNAT 4.8 before the next
LTS, I won't mind, and will just fall-back to Ada 2005.
