There are good points about statically linked executables, and some recall  
about GNAT-GCC vs GNAT-GPL licensing (as you've already learned us here  
previously).

May I ask you a question not strictly GNAT related (except it's about  
compiling itself) ? You talked about cross compiling… do you have some  
tracks for the best way to get a sys-root for various targets ? I more or  
less could create one copying a minimalist set of files from a Debian  
installation (this worked fine), but I guess this is not the cleanest way  
to do, I would feel better if this could be done in a cleaner way. Do you  
have some tips for other targets also ?
