anyone know why AUnit text_reporter and xml_reporter use gnat.io ???
gnat.io only allows a file_type of standard output and standard error,
why ???

May be it uses its own stream to avoid to interfere with the audited
application's streams ?
Too much easy suggestion (my two cents) : did you look enough at the
implementation to see if you can modify it so that it suits your needs ?
And, what are your needs exactly ? (an important question this one)
