The requirement to not do infinite precision arithmetic
for Standard."*" seems plausible to me insofar as Standard."*"
in source text conveys "a single multiplication", not
some big number operation which could take unpredictable
amounts of resources. (Still interesting that compiler
capabilities are withheld from its users, though.)
