But, if you look a little closer at the question, overcome the language barrier just a little, and not assume the worst, I think you'll see his actual question was more like: "Is anyone willing to help me? If so, then I'll send you the problems I'm having." Frank -----Original Message----- From: Mich [mailto:katho@tr.cgocable.ca] Can someone could help me with my homework??? Thanx! It is available online here[1]; there are several other books[2]. In your first reading, you can skip the part about tasking; instead, you should then learn about the standard Ada.Containers that were added in Ada 2005; the Ada 2005 Rationale[3] contains a good introduction to them in Chapter 8. Feel free to come back here on comp.lang.ada if you have any more questions. Hope this helps -- Ludovic Brenta. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 10+ messages in thread

"Sixty five? Whew! I never worked so cheap... except for once, and that was a very noble cause." I suppose it is bad enough that someone would come out with a fairly blatant request to get their homework done for them, but to add insult to injury, there isn't even any description of what the homework is. I suppose I could send him a program that does a quicksort on a bunch of integers and say "here's your homework - go ahead and hand it in..." and that would meet the spec! FWIW: We can be helpful with homework around here, but a) we won't do it for you, b) you have to come to us with specific questions & sufficient information and c) you have to show some reasonable evidence of having tried to find the answers for yourself. If you don't meet those guidelines, you can expect all sorts of abuse on this or any other technical newsgroup from those of us who firmly believe that education cannot take place by having other people do your work for you. You have posted no code and you have no specific questions. Just a general plea for help. We all have "real" jobs to do so we are not in the business of being tutors or teachers. (You should be able to get that kind of help from your school.) The kind of question you posted is typical of students who are looking for someone to hand them a working program instead of help solving problems - anticipate abuse for that sort of thing. Look over your homework as you have it now and try to figure out what it is you *don't* know how to do. Post a piece of your code that is not working. Be specific about what computer you are working on, what operating system you are using and what compiler you are using. We are more than happy to look over some reasonably small chunk of code with specific questions in mind and try to get you an answer to your problems. We do not have time to pour over thousands of lines of code to try to figure out what it is you aren't doing correctly. Be *specific* and you will get help. (Your subject line is a good indication that you are *not* being specific - you have no particular question in mind so you won't get help. Repost something with a subject line like "How do I perform I/O for integers?" with an example of what you have attempted & I'll bet you'll get all sorts of help.) BTW: Isn't there a FAQ somewhere for this newsgroup that specifically pointed these things out to students? Any time you walk into a room and ask people for something, you should probably know a little about them first, so you can word the request in a way that is liable to get a good response. If you don't do that, you are just a likely to tick them off as anything. Well consider that this newsgroup is mostly made up of two kinds of people: Professors, who wouldn't do an entire assignment for you out of principle (solidarity or something), and that geek or two in your class who does their assignment the day its given out and keeps happily polishing it until the day its due, but all grown up. Ask them to do all your work, and they are liable to get resentful (after all, they did all their *own* work). But ask them a specific technical or syntax question, and they'll jump at the chance to show off their blazingly superior intellect. :-) > i put my package but i need to call all the function in >one procedure or function named Date_Valide Well, now we are getting somwhere. It looks like you may just have a simple syntax question, if we could ever get to it. Why not just post snippets of that code, and address your questions to it? If you are really stuck in such a general manner that you can't show it in a few lines of code, you really ought to go to your instructor or teacher's assistant for help. After all, you are probably paying big bucks to go to this school (which you might be repaying for years to come). You might as well get your money's worth out of them. --- T.E.D. homepage - http://www.telepath.com/dennison/Ted/TED.html home email - mailto:dennison@telepath.com ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 10+ messages in thread
