Because those things (security etc.) are there in actual implementations
e.g. GLADE?

But I understand the desire for a kind of standard extension. If it can
be done inside the language (perhaps with ASIS), then it could be a CAL
branch ;-)

"Keep Ada small, create a big library" could be the internal motto of
the CAL developers.

Are you sure Ada-France maintainers read each message on cla?

Please, forward your message to www@ada-france.org.

One can hope ;-)

I have filed the suggestion some time ago with the system admin. I use
the expression here just as an explanation of the forward.

/*
Full explanation. When I want to reply to a CLA post I tend to hit the
reply button. This has the effect of replying only to the original
poster. To reply to CLA I must hit the "Reply to all" button and copy
the address in "Cc" to "To" (a lot of mouse action BTW). When I forget
to do this then I forward the sent message to CLA, prepending the
infamous expression above to explain why I am forwarding and reenforcing
the suggestion to the sysop at the same time.
*/

C syntax! *HRMF*

Do you hope that a request enclosed in a C comment will be acted upon? :)

More seriously, if your mailer is broken and doesn't have a
"reply-to-list" functionality (the two mailers I use, mutt and gnus,
do have this capability), then you should consider using another
one. In those software, "reply" replies to the original poster,
"reply-to-all" replies to everyone and "reply-to-list" replies to the
list only, without adding the original poster.

And no, I won't change the settings, I do not like setting "reply-to"
addresses to mailing-lists for many reasons which would be way
off-topic here. Note that this doesn't harm anyone as it is only a
gateway to the real Usenet group: noone is forced to use it and
everyone can setup another gateway with other settings.

You're right. I can imagine the reasons. I guess I was in a selfish mood
before. Sorry. I'll get another email application soon, as advised.
