Since Ada.Text_IO.Modular_IO is a generic package, the code needs to
be something like this:

-- Instantiate a package for unsigned_16 IO.
package Unsigned_16._IO is Ada.Text_IO.Modular_IO (Interfaces.unsigned_16);

-- Output a value to the screen
Unsigned_16_IO.Put
      (Item => <unsigned_16 expression>,
       Width => 9,  -- output looks like 16#CDEF#
       Base => 16);
