The site works well without Java or JavaScript--we've tested it both on Opera and on sites where they are disabled. Instead of using the drop-down menus you use the HTML links on the left side. It only works on the home page for old browsers (pre-Java) right now; we'll have to direct them to another directory with a whole 'nother site. Note that there also exists excellent browsers out there that is not pre-Java, but doesn't have Java or Javascript. One is the w3m browser which is text only. But thanks as the site seem to work very nice with this browser too.
