A beginner's question

Hi

What does the following error mean, and how do i fix it:

Compiling c:\gnat305\gw-gnat\test.adb
fatal error: run-time library configuration error
cannot locate "Set_Rc_Offset" in file "a-tags.ads" (entity not in
package)
compilation abandoned

I got it in GNAT for dos and also in GNAT for windows.

Seems an installation problem. As that version (3.05) is very old,
it might be difficult to indentify. Try a "fresh" one:

Windows (9x/NT):

This isn't really an Ada problem, as you seem to be having a problem
with the installation of your compiler, GNAT.

You may want to post GNAT problems to the GNAT chat mailing list.
