Just to set the record straight: The XFree86 project is *not*
disbanding. It is the XFree86 Core Team that is disbanding - simply
because the discussions for a long time has taken place on the mailing
list envolving all developers and not just the core team. Instead of a
core team that was supposed to monitor/guide/discuss development of
the X server, task forces may now be created to solve specific
problems.

In short: The XFree86 project is alive and kicking.
