Ah, but it is to mine :-)

know if it will fix Brian's issues...

It's probably worth noting that as far as I am aware, ada-mode V2.28 is 
designed around Emacs 20.xx and will not work with Emacs 19.xx.

Ada-mode V2.23 is, I believe, the most up to date version for Emacs 
19.xx.

Just to report experience so far, the 2.28 posted here seems to do
this just fine under 19.34 (GNU Emacs 19.34.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X
toolkit))

Input:

Doc best viewed with fixed width font (apologies for examples in 
C; I work in a multilingual environment! :)

Do-What-I-Mean tab. This function uses the original keybinding for the
TAB key when it is used (e.g. c-indent-line). If this does not change
the position of the point, an attempt is made to position the point
under the next 'interesting' point in the first non-blank line above
the current line. An interesting point is a start of a new column
(signified by multiple whitespace), a ':' or a '='. If no interesting
point is found, a tab-to-tab-stop is performed. This sounds weird but
it is of good use if one wants to line up declarations like:

  VeryLongTypeName  VeryLongVariableName = VERY_LONG_CONSTANT;
  int               Count                = 0;
  char *            Str                  = (char *)NULL;

A single TAB is required between ('int' - 'Count'), ('Count' - '=')
etc.  To add this feature to your favourite major mode (e.g. c-mode),

I've been working on a record declaration formatter, and given the three-day

I wrote this today.  It aligns the colons in record declarations
that aren't too complex.

You'll have to have written at least "record", "end record", and one
declaration (id/type pair) to use this; otherwise, you'll get mismatch
errors.  It moves point to the last declaration, so you can use it
as you're entering the record components.

This isn't very fancy.  Let me know if it doesn't meet your needs.

I have created a website and mailing list for discussions of Emacs
ada-mode.

If you are on any other discussion groups that might have people who
should know about this, please pass it on.

I'd like to post the various changes/improvements to emacs ada-mode
that people have discussed here, so we can discuss them more fully on
