Job opening for experienced Ada developer in Huntsville, AL

My employer, HigherEchelon, is currently looking for an experienced (10+ years) Ada developer to modify and write flight software and supporting tools and simulations in Huntsville, AL (with relocation assistance). Here's a brief description:

"Modify existing Apache AH-64 flight software written in Ada, along with related software models/simulations to support independent flight software testing.

"Work in a Lunix environment and modify (as required) existing simulations, models and drivers. The candidate should have software tools experience and be able to read requirements and as required create new code to support AH-64 PPSS (Post Production Services Support) independent testing. Create, compile and execute automated test procedures and maintain Software development folders for modified or new Ada code."

Candidate needs to be a US citizen and have or be able to obtain a security clearance.

Think a little smaller.  It's the Unix version they used in the Commodore 64.  Really.

(For you young'uns reading this: the C64 was an 8-bit home computer with 64KB of RAM from the early 1980s.)

I had one of those for my 2nd PC. Never heard of Lunix, though.

From what I understand, Unix relies on some support for memory protection, which did not exist on C64 and 8-bit is quite a constraint in other areas of the system architecture as well.
The only references I have found for such systems call them "Unix-like". I think this is fair enough and I would not call it a "Unix version".
Of course I agree that it is anyway quite an achievement.

(Did it support Ada? OK - I had to ask to keep the post on-topic. ;-) )

Yeah, that was a little sloppy of me.

Writing *any* significant piece of software in 6502 assembly is a major achievement, in my view.

It could be worse: writing 6502 machine code directly with opcodes, on a 6502 machine itself. That's a funny exercise!
The largest piece of software I did that way was a 6502 interpreter in 6502 machine code (I expect the question: for which purpose ?)
