Considering that DOS really didn't do anything other than provide a 
bootstrap mechanism, simple file system, and program loader, it's hard to 
blame it for anything. Put a well-designed Ada system on top and it was as 
reliable as any other OS I've worked on. Put junk on top, well, the OS isn't 
going to stop it from being junk!
