I'm looking to learn Ada because i've seen it and I really think that
it will be the most enjoyable language for me to learn. I fully intend
to learn other languages later on but for now it is just a hobby for
me. I don't want to pay for a book (yet), and I have GNAT with
AdaGIDE. So, my question is...

What tutorial(s) on the web would you recommend to get me started on
the right track with Ada?

First check at what looks like a public headquarter:

    http://www.adahome.com/Tutorials/

If you dig around, you'll also find books suggestions. But hey, for
free online books and other great stuff, look at Ju Rao's Homepage:

    http://www.maththinking.com/boat/langAdaBooks.html

hope it helps,

I forgot to actually answer your question:

You have quality concerns not locations.

Depends on your programming background. If you have experience with
other languages, in pdf there is "Ada Distilled" both at Ju Rao's and
www.adapower.com. Still pdf, I would recommend "Ada For Software
Engineers" also at Ju Rao.

[snip Ada Home URL]

I wonder if it's time again to request that people not post URLs to this
website.

It always annoys me to see the Ada Home URL at the top of Google listings;
given the old contents of this website it gives the impression that Ada is
a dead language...

What I don't understand is why it is so high up in the Google rankings.

Have any of the other Ada website owners here asked Google ?

Simon.

If Google's motto is "do no wrong", then how did we get Google Groups 2 ?

Not to mention the "Learn Ada" section of Adaic.org
(http://www.adaic.org/learn/). (Note that you'll find mostly the same
documents in each of these places.)

                         Randy.
