I work for SONEX Enterprises, an independent QA firm in Virginia. We are
presently contemplating purchasing Thomson's ObjectAda 6.x or Rational's
Ada '95 version of the VADS compiler when it is released. In light of the
fact that Rational has yet to release the Ada '95 version of VADS, it may
prove difficult to compare the two. However, it would be much appreciated
if you all could offer your opinions of the Thomson product, the customer
service track records of the respective companies, and any other
information you deem pertinent to making an informed decision.

As background: We are currently working in the Alsys AdaWorld environment
on a SPARC 2. The newly purchased compiler will reside on a SPARC 5
running Solaris 2.x with Motif as the window manager. We do not
anticipate coding embedded systems. We are currently coding large-scale
in-house applications to aide our QA efforts. The target platforms will
be SPARCstations.

Thank you in advance for your help in this matter. If you send replies
via email, please send them to SONEXISA@AOL.COM, as I am posting via my
personal account.

Sincerely,
Donnell
