  An extremely long time ago I did a polynomial arithmetic package
explicitly for getting algebraic solutions of matrix inversions.
I recall inverting a matrix sounded like a bottle being filled with
water on the speaker hooked to the CDC1604.  And machines today are
even faster.  ;)
