Well, there is at least one system that proves you wrong.
XForms with fdesign
- comes with the possibility to generate Ada code,
- is free for non-commercial use,
- is, as far as I used it, very stable,
- allows access to Xlib for your own graphics,
- and it is not such a BLOATED PIG you get elsewhere.
