hi there,

I want to port gnat to my machine - but I failed.
Has somebody tried it before?

That's what I did - and what does'nt work:

As a first step I need a gnat-crosscompiler
(I have already those gnu cross-asm, cross-linker, ....)

configure --prefix=/usr --target=m68k-hp-netbsd --build=i486-linux
make LANGUAGES="c ada"
make LANGUAGES="c ada" bootstrap
and here (bootstrap) the fist unsoveable problems occured:
for ex. the linker wants to link 68k-objectfiles and intel-objectfiles
into one executable -- oh oh

I actually don't understand the (mutch too huge) Makefiles

(I tried gnat 3.03 as bin under linux and 3.04 as source for 68k)

Also, why are you using such ancient sources, these are way out of date.
What machine are you trying to get GNAT up on, it is likely someone
else already did it (and if you are so out of date on your sources,
you may simply not be clued in to the current status of GNAT ports).
