That's a bit confused. You write as though you think that GNU is some
kind of organization. It is not, it is the designation of a project
designed to produce a complete free software operating system together
with utilities. There are actually many components that go into the
GNU system, and indeed more than one realization of the ideal. One
well known realization of GNU is the Linux operating system.

It is certainly true that GNAT is part of the GNU project, in the sense
that it is included with GNU systems and works well together with them,
and the copyright is owned by the free software foundation.

GNAT is actually maintained by Ada Core Technologies, but ACT assigns
the copyright of the work it does to the Free Software Foundation, to
help guarantee that GNAT remains free software.
