I am searching for anyone who may have the docs for the Ada83 compiler
Meridian OpenAda for Windows ver2.0.  It is about 4 or 5 years old and
was used mainly for classroom use. It is no longer made or supported
by the company, so I cant get the docs from them (I tried). I think
this compiler is simple enough to teach someone Ada with, but I
desperately need the docs. If anyone still has them, please email me.
I will gladly pay for you to send me a copy of the docs.

First: why not switch to GNAT instead of using an obsolete compiler
for an obsolete language.

Second: As far as I know Heath is still distributing this compiler (can
someone who knows definitively one way or another confirm this -- I
think I am remembering the Heath corectly.

Third: You need to be a little more cautious in suggesting that someone
be paid for violating the copyright on these documents ... just because
you can't get them does not mean they are not copyrighted.

I know definitively and can confirm that your info is dated.
Heath no longer distributes this as the compiler rights were sold to
another company, whose name I forget.  I have contacted both of the
companies. Only the DOS version 4.1 is available.

Justed wanted to make sure I didnt sound rude. I did contact Heath
prior to posting the message for the docs and was directed to another
smaller company which distributes the DOS openAda. I was informed that
the Windows version was discontinued and is not supported or available
from either Heath or this other company.  I am just trying to find
some docs, so I can teach someone Ada, who is only familiar with
things like quickbasic and older visual basic. This program seems to
be in a similiar format/style.  For now I am using  ObjectAda, but I
cant be loning out the CD all the time for someone to learn the basics
on. If you know of anywhere else I might look for the docs, or other
suggests as a compiler to use I would appreciate it.  As far as
copyright goes, I would buy a copy of them if I could figure out where
to get them.  Also, I am aware of GNAT and that may be a good way to
go, but I was looking for something a little different. Thanks.
