Hello,

We are working with Gnat 3.04 under Solaris 2.5.1 and we sometimes
encounter "core dumped" when using an "ada.text_io.create (...)" from an
independant task.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Several ideas:

a) 3.04 is very far out of date (the current version available to our
customers is 3.10a, and 3.09 was released publicly months ago). You will
save yourself a lot of time by updating.

b) If you think you have found a bug, then please make sure it is still
there in 3.09, and send it along to report@gnat.com.

c) Consider subscribing to chat@gnat.com where informal help can be found,
or if you need more formal and guaranteed help, send email to
info@gnat.com.

d) In any case, always post sample source with a question of this kind, and
say exactly what happens. A core dump almost certainly is accompanied by
a message saying why core was dumped (e.g. an unhandled signal).
