I am having my compiler students read GNAT code at the moment, and at one
point in an exchange, I commented that probably the Ada in the front end
of GNAT should be easy to read. She replied that that was not the problem
"Ada is painfully easy to read". Odd choice of words, but the same message
I think :-)

I'm a second year uni student.
Recently, as part of an assignment, I wrote a five-page
piece of code.

I showed it to a friend of mine when I'd finished, and
she (a) has not done/learned any programming for about
a decade (b) had never seen Ada code - only Pascal, and
(c) never actually enjoyed programming.

Yet her immediate response was to comment on its superior
readability (compared to Pascal), and as she read it she
confirmed that she found the code - written though it was
in a totally foreign language - to be very understandable!
Her only question concerned an exception handler in one of
my subprograms!

Does this say something or what??
