I think that Ada can produce code that runs as fast as C++ code and is
nevertheless safer. But someone said that at least part of it's safety
must come from run-time checks, that inevitable slow down.
What do you think?

I think this has been discussed to death more than once on CLA! Really
we should have an archive of old threads that people can just go and
read, rather than rerunning them!
