Dear c.l.a

We are considering submitting a Request for Disscussion (RFD) to
create a new newsgroup: comp.lang.ada.spark

This would be an unmoderated group for general discussion of the SPARK
Ada subset and its uses. In order for an RFD to be successful there has
to be a general critical-mass of interest (and votes!) to make it
worth-while...

So...what do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Don't care?

Thanks,
 Rod Chapman, SPARK Team

Is the expected amount of posts so large that it should be taken into a group of its own?

Why don't you let it in CLA and prefix any Spark dedicated post with "Spark"?

Do you think Spark users are annoyed of the "massive" CLA traffic that's of no
interest to them so they want a means to filter it out?

I think that there is no need for separate *unmoderated* group for the SPARK.
But *moderated* group may make sense. There will not be too many messages, so
that group will not take too much time from moderator(s), and being moderated
that group will be more serious, free from advocacy, language wars, chat etc.
- it seems somehow attractive.
(I believe the SPARK Team may supply moderator(s) for this purpose, at least
initially.)
