FYI:
Results of "make check", after building GCC 3.4.1 as releaseed on
1. July 2004, using ACT GNAT 3.15p, on Debian testing [*]
steps:
got the release archive,
ran md5sum,
followed the instructions in the GCC documentation for building a
native compiler
(make bootstrap; make -C gcc gnatlib_and_tools[**]; make check).
Configured with: ../src/gcc-3.4.1/configure \
--prefix=/opt/GCC/341r \
--enable-languages=ada,c,c++,f77 \
--disable-nls

[*] More on using either Ludovic Brenta's packages
or Debian's gccs >= 3.2 later, hopefully. (The latter claim to support
Ada, but don't unless package gnat-3.x is installed.
I have sent a PR about the "false claims".)
[**] I'll check whether (cd gcc; make gnatlib_and_tools) really
does not work, this is the command I found in the texinfo documentation.

I know that with gcc 3.5.x it is not needed any more, yet the option was
still there when I last looked.
However, since gcc 3.5.0 does not compile for x86_64 architecture and 3.4.1
stabelizes I have not looked for a while.
