SAMeDL availability

What is the current availability of precompilers that implement SAMeDL (SQL
Ada Module Description Language) for commercial databases?  Oracle, Ingres
and Sybase have announced committment but has any one come up with the goods?

The Competence Center Informatik has produced a SAMeDL - Compiler called CASH
(CCI Ada SQL Handler). It is available for Oracle 6.0 on IBM RISCsystem/6000 
under AIX3 or Sun4 SPARCstation under SunOS.

Versions for further target environment are in preparation.

Intermetrics has SAMeDL compilers that support a variety of databases
such as Sybase, Informix, Oracle, Progress, and CA/XDB.  Our
preference is to distribute our SAMeDL compilers through the RDBMS
vendors.  We are currently engaged in discussion with a number of
vendors and have recently reached agreement with Sybase (announced on
June 8).  We are optimistic that other partnerships will be formed
shortly.
