I started a group for discussing OS-services related packages that could be incorporated into the amendment of Ada.
(i.e. go beyond the current Ada.Directories proposal). Some potential candidates are access to environment variables,
starting subprocesses, file name patterns, and more.
There is a Web page http://www.adalog.fr/os_bind/ , and a mailing list. To register, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ada_osbind.
I heard some concerns about having a Yahoo group, because it asks you some personal questions. If this is a concern to you
(and prevents you from joining), please drop me a message. If it is a real problem, I'll move the list to another server.
Now is the time to speak up for the interfaces you want! Join now!
