I've been looking into IntelliJ IDEA https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/ as an alternative to Eclipse (which I don't use) and ran across a nascent Ada plug-in at https://github.com/nraynaud/ada-intellij/. One version of IntelliJ is open source and one version is commercial.

Just thought I would mention it.

Looks good. What I will find more cool is to use JetBrains MPS for Ada. Just like mbeddr for C.

Wow. Reading about JetBrains MPS blew my mind. I wish I understood what I read. 8^) I gather that incorporating Ada into MPS would indeed be way cool.

It seems that a lot of people prefer IntelliJ over Eclipse (and vice versa, of course). I was looking into the Mathematia plug-in for IntelliJ when I stumbled across the Ada plug-in. Apparently IntelliJ is so context-aware that it is nearly clairvoyant. If I can figure out how to install the Ada plug-in I'll have a go at it. (Normally plug-in installation requires one click but the Ada plug-in is not in IntelliJ's own repository.) The Ada plug-in developer claims to have only syntax coloring done but I suppose that much of the vast capability of IntelliJ comes along automatically.

I hope you will report back good or bad.

I doubt it. Most of the "power" of these tools comes from a combination of syntax and semantic knowledge of the language which is far more than just highlighting reserved words and identifying quotes and constants.
