At what URL did you see that C would be a supported backend target of GNAT (instead of merely generating C header files)?

The generated library from Ada is consumable by the C compiler via the generated header files.

Alternative to what?  I.e., what would you like to do (that is different than what is described herein of linking a GNAT-generated Ada library to C code)?
