Apparently there is some truth to this.

Not to mention page 136 of John Barne's book, Ada 2012, where he uses an
Aardvark in his example.
It is also interesting that Aardvark habitat in the wild apparently
includes an area that includes the village "Ada" in Northern Ghana.

Though I know there is at least one Aardvark with a different name.
Apparently there is one called Ethel, who liked to go Quantity Surveying.
