I ran across an old thread today on the GCC mailing list about
creating an official GNU.* package hierarchy for Ada. [1] I went
digging to try and gather some more information about this, but the
google has failed me. Does anybody have any information on such a
project? Did it ever get off the ground? If so, is it still _going_,
or at the very least, are there some sources floating around
somewhere? Such a repository of bindings seems like it would be an
incredible boon to the Ada community and the language's position in
the free software world. I'd contribute to it.

Something to think about, anyway.
