You know what, it is a distinct possibility that Nvidia is releasing the
compiler in the hopes that someone would be able to step around certain
third party patent restrictions on thier behalf. Naturally if they could
get thier drivers Open Sourced, then theres virtually no limit to the
number of platforms their cards will run on.

Asking the military doesnt seem like such a bad idea.  Any idea who I'd
contact?
