Sometimes, in a courtroom, what they want a
witness to do is confuse the jury.  Get them
to think, "I don't understand this, but he
seems to, so I'll take his word for it."

That may violate the principle of reasonable
doubt, but it nevertheless happens.

Of course, I speak of U.S. courts, which would
not be involved in an Ariane 4/5/6 case/  :-)
