I just received my June issue of Object Magazine. Although I knew ther
would be Ada articles by me and Joyce Tokar, I was unprepared for the
delightful coverage on Ada elsewhere throughout this issue.

Page 25 - Marie Lenzi, the Editor says,

"Eiffel, our pure entry, is a beautiful, smart, elegant language and
Ada, over the last couple of years, has been pumping serious object
iron. This is the language [she means Ada] closest of all the hybrids
to an object orientation. Now with is complete set of object
qualification, it hopes to win market segments other than the requisite
  U.S. government. More to come."

Ada is given a fair hearing in this short overview of OOP languages.
  It is worth reading.

This is a follow-up to a piece on Ada in the May 1995 issue.

Page 53 - Ada 95: The Language for the '90s and Beyond by Joyce Tokar

An excellent little article with emphasis on software engineering
benefits of Ada. Also a nice treatement of concurrency.

Page 59 - Java As As Application Development Language by Jay Johnson

"... C is the operating systems language, Forth is great for device
drivers, C++ fits in where a low-level procedural approach and a
higher-level semi-object-oriented approach are needed on the same
project, Smalltalk fits in where a pure object-oriented approach
is appropriate, and Ada is the best language for huge embedded
   systems."

The good news, represented in this magazine, is that many software
practitioners, who also write, are beginning to discover the unique
benefits of Ada. For those of you in the Ada community who appreciate
this kind of support from Object Magazine, may I ask that you consider
writing a letter to the editor acknowledging that support.

         The Editor is:

Thanks,
