I have used it on a personal basis, but I do not think that it has been
used much outside academia circles. The documentation (see link below) is
good but the source is Ada 83 based, so it needs some or a lot of rework
to be Ada 95 based.
If you intend to start something up on ANNA maybe David Botton could add
