I'm thinking about writing an application in Ada for Windows NT and
Windows 95. Are there any commercial vendors that have libraries for:
1) Image processing. It must be able to handle large
images i.e. 4000x4000. For right now 8-bit grey scale is okay.
It should be able to read/write JPEG. Other file formats
would be nice but aren't required.
2) Database Management. This must support networked multi-user databases.
3) GUI for MS-Windows. It would be nice if it included support for
MS-Windows NT/95 help files.
4) TCP/IP communications.
5) TWAIN scanning libraries. (optional)
Obviously these need to be 32-bit libraries.
Please reply via email to craigs@ril.usda.montana.edu as I am posting
this for a friend.
