Perhaps that's because most of the programmers who are using Ada use
it to create proprietary programs. That means that the users of those
programs don't know or care what in language they're written, because
they never see the sources. Now that programs compiled by GNAT GPL must
be licensed under the GPL if they're to be distributed, perhaps those
users will begin using Ada themselves once they see the beauty of the
Ada code which is being delivered to them.

Anyway, if someone feels really strongly about this, then he or she can
fork the GMGPL version. That happened with gcc and with X Window, so
there's no reason it can't happen here.
